Some cool greens for spring:
Stranger tides, a dusty pale green with a hint of yellow from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection for spring 2011, by OPI.
Keep Calm, Paint On, a cool, minty green with silver shimmers from the Avant Garden Collection for spring 2013, by China Glaze.
Maximillian Strasse Her, a greyish green for spring 2013 by Essie, the Madison Ave-Hue Collection.
Mermaid’s Tears, a dusty jade green, also from the Pirates of the Caribbean Collection for spring 2011, by OPI.
So ready for spring now! A girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do, to make the spring arrive. Here are some of my picks for the upcoming season. Never tried Guerlain Météorites before, the pearl shaped powder balls in different colours. Is there a better time than gloomy February to try them out? Fortunately, Guerlain releases a new version of them, called Météorites Perles du Paradis, for their spring look. Estée Lauder released the Heavy Petals Collection, with five pastel nail lacquers for spring 2013. I went for the dusty baby blue Dilettante and the avocado slash lime green Absinthe. My sweet hubby got me Tutu, a milky pink lacquer from the Cherie Bow Makeup Collection for spring 2013 by Dior. Can you feel the spring? :)
Mean & Green by MAC is originally from the Disney Venomous Villains Collection for fall 2010 I think, but I just got it from the counter so I guess they have it in their standard line now. I love this one! It’s a multichrome with black green, pinkish gold purple metallic. Impossible to catch on camera, but it’s so pretty, all I want to do is look at my nails. It’s quite sheer and took three coats for full opacity. I think it will look really beautiful with one coat over red polish, to show off that black shimmer.
Stylenomics by Essie, the Fall 2012 Collection. A dark dark teal green, with a grey base. Almost black. I’m a bit disappointed in this one, actually. Stylenomics is the one I had the highest expectations on in the fall collection, but this one doesn’t flatter me at all, although it looks okay in the picture. It even started chipping before the day was over.
WOW! This green and gold metallic duochrome polish is absolutely amazing. It’s really eye catching and I got many compliments for it. Péridot is from Chanels Autumn 2011 collection. My sweet husband got this beauty for me :D
It’s impossible to catch the beauty on camera, here are some shots in different lights. The flash seems to fade the green, but IRL you can always see the green no matter what light you’re in.
Indoors, with flash.
